DRIVE formed in Jakarta in the year 2003 began with the name of FLOW with personnel at that time Vocals: Nivel (current-footnote), Guitar: Budi (ex-LAKUNA), Bas: Eko (ex-LAKUNA), and Drums: Richard (ex- PURPLE) is a brotherhood between Reason and Eko who formed the band to play the concept of American Rock 90's after making a few songs and demo a lot of things go through the line nets, time also Nivel and Richard out of the Genky Gutawa (A&R Warner Music Indonesia) recommends Abun (ex- DR.PM, KELASIK current) as a vocalist FLOW, understand and DR.PM ,LAKUNA is a band who take shelter under the same label that Warner Music Indonesia, and also officially became a vocalist Abun. Then he took his band friends in high school that is Adi (ex-AURA) to be a drummer FLOW.
At year end 2003, Eko was hired as a Sound Engineer in Aquarius Musikindo then he resigned from FLOW, and his position replaced by Irwan (ex-KINTAMANI) once the crew and also Additional Guitar on LAKUNA.
Year 2004 FLOW intended for recording and managed to sign a contract with one of indie labels produced by our friend Adit (current-EDANE) as much as two albums. But while due to start recording a vocalist Abun things can not continue the process of recording and continue the struggle FLOW. Until a few months later the position was replaced by Avan Abun (ex-ZOOM/Kompilasi Mentos BMG) but in line with the producer busy with new business named HIPBONE garment industry, upon agreement by both parties executed the agreement null and void tersebutpun.
Once the position was replaced by Avan Abun Band had time to travel long vacuum, until in 2004 the late FLOW asked Robert to help deal with it by having the Management team FLOW, FLOW minimal device tested many musical events in Jakarta at the time.
In mid-Th. 2005 Ixan (current Kamasutra) came to replace temporary positions before finally Dygo Irwan (ex-ROOTS) be a fixed base that makes this band this band is more powerful but because Avan busy with his band's Top 40 (Stupid) mangung out of town for a few months hence FLOW intend to seek a new vocalist Anji diketemukanlah (ex-TOPENG/Juara I Asean Beat 2004) whose presence could give new color and fresh on the music FLOW, and most major presence makes the band became more character. And in the same even renamed FLOW to DRIVE, due to a new band appeared using the name of FLOW in the program's music TV show that is Dream Band 2.
The year 2006 became the starting point of the struggle DRIVE, with enough material and capitalize slick then tried to throw DRIVE demo material to every major music labels and Producer Music in Jakarta, and while waiting for answers to fill the busyness with DRIVE many gigs in various places from the start that non-budget , transport or get a consumption fee to be paid in a professional course. Until now the show has already tens DRIVE 'touch' from the beginning Pensi SMA to corporate gatherings is useful for musical experience and maturity in a live performance.
And in July 2006 DRIVE trying to audition to play in ke'ku: n Cafe Kemang numbers until finally DRIVE managed to fill every Friday night events every Sunday and then turned into a Saturday night every first & third Sunday brings the songs live acoustic alternative .
Until finally at the end of 2006 managed to attract DRIVE E-MOTION Entertainment, is Piyu 'RICE' which managed to find the passion and spirit in music DRIVE and DRIVE on December 7 2 Albums binding contract of cooperation with E-MOTION Entertainment with Piyu himself as Music Producer DRIVE.
The recording process began in early January 2007 in Paz's Studio Piyu in number Cinere for Elementary & Rhytem Music Section: Strings Take in Studio Erwin Gutawa Antasari and take in the C-PRO Vocal Studio Manggarai place where Adi The drummer worked as Sound Engineer for this , in February conducted at Aluna Studio Mixing Process by Eko Sulistiyo which incidentally is the Ex-Base in the band.
