Dewa first formed in 1986 by four students SMPN 6 Surabaya, with the acronym of their name Dhani Ahmad Prasetyo (Keyboard, Vocal), Erwin Prasetya (Bass), Henry Juniarso (Drums), and Andra Ramadhan (guitar); with headquarters at home Henry is in the complex, Airlangga University (Unair) Surabaya.Warna god initially more pop music, but then the fans of jazz Erwin, introducing jazz to the group. Vacant drummer position is filled by Tyo Nugros.Dalam fifth album Five Star in 2000, the name was changed to Dewa Dewa 19.
